If you have been following any of my posts on the Switchvox AA60 you will appreciate some of this information.

--------
After a bit more research I found that it might be a good idea to elaborate on a few of the features available on the new Switchvox AA60.
Switchvox AA60 Provisioning tool:
From what I understand there will be a provisioning element in the system that will afford the the PBX administrator to provision extensions via a handy dandy web UI tool. This will be a "Pay to Play" solution that is billed to the customer under the same subscription model as the current support mechanism and will NOT be available as an update for current silver, gold, and platinum users. --- If you want this feature you'll have to pay for it separately. Hey Digium Correct me if I am wrong.
User Search Feature:
I touched on this feature in my last post not fully understanding the update in general. From what I Understand now, this addition to Switchvox 3.5 will work much like using Google's desktop search tool or Windows Vista OS search feature.... I guess it will work like this... there will be a search box on the Switchvox AA60 under the manage extensions section where you can start typing an end-users name from there it will start populating any possible matches so that you do not have to type in the entire name - it will start populating possible matches immediately based on the first letters entered. Again, Digium- Correct me if I am wrong.

Let me preface this by saying I am a huge Switchvox fan and have been for years.
The concept of a "token" for phone provisioning is just kind of crappy. Make the system say $2 more per user and include the feature, don't add a $30 premium per device for phone provisioning (isn't the user support license only $40/yr?). I can't wait to play with 3.5 or the new AA60, but I really hope the "token" approach isn't the waive of the future for Switchvox.

Greg - Totally agree with you about your dislike for the the token model.
Why can't the provisioning tool simply be another included feature of Switchvox? If they want more money, just raise the overall price of Switchvox.
Is Switchvox going to go down the road where you have to buy each feature that you need? That is how the traditional players operate. One of my favorite things about Switchvox is that they only have two feature levels - SOHO and SMB.
Users familiar with open source don't like to be nickel-and-dimed.

Existing SMB users with any subscription level will be able to get the 3.5 update, and while each phone that you provision will need a "token" that you pay for, we're giving away 10 tokens free. That means if you're an existing user and would like to try out the sassy new phone provisioning tool we've built, you can re-provision your phones or add new ones using these 10 free tokens.
And any new SMB systems that are sold will also come with 10 free tokens. Each additional token will cost $30 each, MSRP.
So if you like it, you can use it, but you're free to choose to configure your phones however you did before we added the feature. I'm pretty confident you'll find it's well worth it and can't wait to see your take on it once you get to use it personally!
One other neat thing with the new phone configuration feature... the Phonebook you've set up for your Switchboard will be pulled down to your phone so you can see busy lamps & quickly dial from your buddy list.
Hope this helps!
