Digium receives TOP Honors as Asterisk 1.4 Wins InfoWorld's Technology of the year Award for Best IP PBX

Wednesday, January 9, 2008

It was announced today that Digium, the Corporate sponsor of Asterisk has won yet another accolade

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone actually following Asterisk and its maturity from garage days to full blown corporate behemoth. If it does, I'd recommend that you climb up from under that rock and visit Asterisk .org if you don’t feel like doing that I’ll summarize…

Asterisk is a complete IP PBX released as open source under the GNU Public License, Asterisk is built to run on commodity hardware, providing considerable cost savings when compared with commercial alternatives, and it leverages the open source community for additional testing, bug fixes, and feature development. Plus, Asterisk is available in many different forms, via GUI simplified and support-backed packaged solutions such as Trixbox and AsteriskNOW or as raw source code, depending on your needs.

In Closing I’ll say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DIGIUM! You continue to make my job easy!
