As I was browsing the web today I noticed that Digium has made a pretty substantial update to their home page. Building on what I have noticed is their latest art trend, Digium has added more line art and block type logos that in my opinion give the site a very fresh look.
After exploring the sections of the new site I've noticed under the "Asterisk Training" tab you will find that Digium is now using a dog as the universal symbol for someone that is looking for Asterisk training, certification, and general information regarding the Open Source telephony platform...
On a semi-related note...
In a post on the Digium blog, I noticed that they have recently named all of their new conference rooms after penguins... Why not have a penguin on the laptop looking for training? I personally believe that we are all better represented as penguins. Maybe the designers of the site found that the dog image was just easier to use and felt that we are all loyal to the master- just like dogs. Either way the site looks great.
