CentPBX, a NEW community supported PBX project- based on CentOS 5, Asterisk (Your Choice 1.2 or 1.4), and FreePBX was launched today.
CentPBX is the first of its class to offer free and paid support via a community run call center by dialing H-E-L-P from your CentPBX connected IP Phone. This Distributed Agent Queue, affectionatly dub'd D.A.Q. will be a welcome addition to the world of IP-PBXers everywhere.
In addition to the solid functionality of Asterisk and FreePBX- The folks at CentPBX have also Incorporated a Fax Server (Something that has been lacking and forgotten by other "community based" PBX projects) and a heads up display from i9 Technologies which will surely add value to the release.
